Dear FASI Friend:
We have a lot of things coming up we need your help with. As you probably remember, NOVEMBER is National Adoption Awareness Month. Each year we try to do all we can to call attention to Adoption during November. We make as many presentations at churches as possible, we ask the NLR Mayor to make a Proclamation, and we work the Belk Department Charity Day Sales ( NOVEMBER 8 .)
The Belk Department store Charity Day Sale has been a regular for the past four years. However, we have only been involved at two locations: Little Rock and Conway. But there are several other Belk stores through the state, such as Hot Springs, Stuttgart, Rogers and Paragould. We need your help with these stores.
Here’s how it works! They plan a charity day sale in the Spring and the Fall on a Saturday, 6am-11:am. Everything is on sale and they have door prizes as well. However, you must have a ticket to get in the store for the sale. These are sold at the door by representatives of local Charities ,i.e., FASI, or presold by the Charity. The cost $5.00 for a ticket. However, you get $5.00 off your bill when you check out. The proceeds from the ticket sales at the store are split among the charities which come to work the doors the day of the event. Any money from tickets that are presold goes directly to the charity.
Over the past 4 years, FASI has generated $4825.00 through this effort at the LR and Conway stores. The event this fall will be Saturday November 8 throughout the state. Can you help us presale tickets to your friends, co-workers and family at any of the stores? Also, we are looking for people to commit to working a 2 to 3 hour shift the day of the sale at the LR and Conway stores, or any of the other Belk stores in the state. If you can help, please give Becki a call at the office, 501-758-9184 or drop her an email at [email protected]
Remember FASI gets to keep ever $5 we sell a ticket and if we have someone at the door we get to share in the ticket sale proceeds for the day.
You can help a lot with a little time spent on this charity event.
